Some sources are original by me. I try to distribute as much as possible under the Creative Commons [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/2.5/nl/ Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 Netherlands] license. I do not object commercial use, and in fact most certainly encourage it, but you need to contact me first, in which case I'll gladly give permission. There may be legal issues which I like to protect you from.

I try to list the copyright for most pages.

Disclaimer

This is a website. It contains information. Use your own judgment about its value. If you do not have such common sense (e.g. you are a lawyer or other retard) or like to see crap like disclaimers, warranties, or as-is statements, then the following applies: you do not understand the concept of satire and are not allowed to use this website.

External sources

Warning: Since this is a private archive of notes, some material comes from external sources, including from text with a more restrictive policy (like cc by-nc-sa). I tried to mark those pages as such. The copyright of those texts are not mine, and you will have to check with the original source for the exact policy.

In some cases, I may even be wrong to redistribute it like this. This wiki started as a collection of private notes, and that shows: not everything is intended for your viewing. Let me know if you see something I shouldn't have put up here, and I'll remove it if your claim seems valid.

Original material

Some sources are original by me. I try to distribute as much as possible under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Netherlands license. I usually do not object to commercial use, and may even encourage it, but you need to contact me first. There may be legal issues (e.g. because I'm not the license holder of all works on this website), and you may get into trouble for certain republications.

I will always grant usage for usage on other wiki's (including Wikipedia), but again: you need to contact me to make sure there are no legal issues.

Unlisted

If it is not clear what the copyright is, or who owns it, please contact me.

Privacy Policy

The only thing that stops me from carefully decipher your identity by analysing your IP address and browsing behaviour on my site is that I have better things to do in my spare time. However, if I ever have too much time on my hands, be prepared that the trace you leave behind in the log files is scrutinized, either by me or by some external web statistics aggregator (like Google Analytics).

I even can't promise not to disclose the logs -- hey, if I ever put up a page on condoms, and I see lots of hits from the Vatican, I will tell my friends.

Now, the promise I will make are that

  • I will never sell any data to anyone. I'm not in this thing to make a profit
  • I will not publish the raw log file online, and
  • I will make sure this page can be accessed with Javascript and cookies off (If you experience a problem, let me know -- I'm annoyed with the fact that PHP+Mediawiki currently sets a cookie, while this is strictly not required. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to fix that myself. Suggestions are welcome)
  • If will only hand over data to an authority after I'm forced to do so by a proper demand (not after a non-legally binding request). Also, I will publish about the requests, regardless if I think the request is valid or not.

The Law

Every system which processes personal information about people should be registered. Well, this website requires a username, password and email address to log in (to prevent spammers). That is personal data. So this data should be in the registry. So there we go: it's filed under registration no. 1529753. It's there. It says that your email address will be used to spam you, even though the email address were collected to prevent spam. Also, the title was incorrectly changed from "Registration of participants website macfreek.nl" to "Registration of patients of website macfreek.nl". Well, that does clear things up on your status, right? Surely your personal data is save, having read this registration record.
