Both providers use PPPoA (PPP over ATM) with the following ATM settings:

Surfsnel over KPN

(former MxStream)

VPI: 8
VCI: 48
Encapsulation: VC-Mux
Authentication: CHAP

(Note: the VC-Mux is uncommon for KPN, only Surfsnel uses it)

Surfsnel over BBned

VPI: 0
VCI: 35
Encapsulation: VC-Mux
Authentication: PAP
