Humour

Please note: I picked most of this humour from different sources on the internet around 2000: it hardly contains any original work. The reason I put it here is because it couldn't relocate some of it later, and still liked it to be on-line somewhere. These pages are no longer supported.

Original work

Omroephumor
A Dutch collection of humour broadcasted in Dutch public transportation.
Viola jokes
Viola players are told not to be very smart, collected by Richard Rensman.

Miscellaneous collections

Smilies
If you're new to the internet, you will note a lot of internet-specific habits and abbreviations. One of the most common ways to 'simulate' facial expression in e-mail is by using so-called smilies. This is an extensive list of the ones availables.
The DogCow
Apple technote #31. A non-serious technical note, issued by Apple long ago. The DogCow, described in this document, used to be the mascotte for Apple's DTS (Developer Technical Support) department. As such it's a copyrighted symbol (hey, even the sound it's supposed to make, Moof, is a registered trademark!)
MPW C error messages
Apple made a compiler called MPW once, and when examined closely, you will find that some of the errors it give when trying to compile a C code are pretty funny. As a side note, LaTeX, a textual-layout program, give pretty funny errors as well, but I don't have a list of them.
Unix
UNIX is a text-based operating system, using shells. When you type the right commands on the command prompt, the responses can be hilarious.
One-liners
There are many, many one-liner jokes. This is a small list I once made.
